On the very day I was ready to release my new novel LESSONS IN HONOR and go public with my new website and blog, I received an e-mail from the U.S. Air Force Academy Association of Graduates of the horrific fire in Colorado Springs and around the Academy. The Mayor called this "a disaster of epic proportions." Pine Valley and other parts of USAFA were being evacuated and on my Weather Channel desktop page today, the first picture was of the Cadet Area surrounded in dense black smoke and flames. This makes me very sad at so many levels. I pray for the safety of friends and classmates in the C-Springs area and for those currently stationed at USAFA. We will hope for and look for improvements! lb
